The DIYers Terms of Service
Welcome to the crew. By using our site and grabbing our gear, you are agreeing to these terms. We have kept them in plain English because we would rather be sealing joints than reading fine print, but there are a few things we need to get straight before you start your project.
The "DIY at your own risk" bit
We provide the tools, the materials, and the know-how, but at the end of the day, you are the one on the tools. We are not responsible for any damage to your property, your tiles, or yourself while you are carrying out your project. If you accidentally caulk your cat or slip with a scraper, that is on you. We provide the best gear and advice we can, but the final result is down to your handiwork.
Safety first
Our kits contain sharp tools and chemicals that need to be handled with respect. It is your job to read the labels, follow the safety instructions, and wear the right PPE. If you decide to ignore the ventilation warnings or use a scraper for something other than its intended purpose, we cannot be held liable for the fallout.
One-on-one coaching
We love helping you get a mint finish, which is why we offer coaching if things aren't going to plan. This is a "help you do it" service, not a "do it for you" service. Coaching is subject to our availability and is intended as general guidance. While we will do our best to get you back on track, we cannot guarantee a perfect result on every substrate or in every unique situation.
Our content is ours
We have put a lot of work into our videos, guides, and the "DIYers" way of doing things. You are more than welcome to use this info to fix up your own place, but you cannot copy, distribute, or use our intellectual property for your own commercial gain.
Accuracy of info
Every house is built differently. While our methods are tried and tested, our advice is general. You might need to tweak things based on the specific tiles or gaps you are dealing with. We do our best to keep everything on the site accurate, but we are human, and things can change.
Making it official
By purchasing from us or using our guides, you are saying you have read this and you are happy to play by the rules. We reserve the right to update these terms as the business grows, so feel free to check back in before you start your next big job.
